Benjamin Sesko became the latest Manchester United player to withdraw from international duty when he pulled out of the Slovenia squad owing to an ongoing shin problem.
Sesko follows Kobbie Mainoo, Marcus Rashford and Karl Darlow, all of whom had already withdrawn from their respective squads.
While the latter trio are not expected to be carrying serious injuries, Sesko has been struggling since the final weeks of last season, and has featured only fleetingly this campaign. He started the League Cup defeat to Brighton but was replaced by Joshua Zirkzee in the 66th minute; United had just seen their 2-0 lead wiped out, leading to some confusion amongst the Old Trafford crowd why the forward would have been brought off, but Sesko was then absent from the squad that travelled to Fulham on Sunday.
