United sign England youth international Karim Cassim from Manchester City

The deal was widely thought to have been completed in the summer as United also reached agreement for Cassim’s team-mate, David Eze, but has been formalised after Cassim’s 17th birthday on 12 September.  

Cassim featured throughout City’s successful FA Youth Cup campaign of last season, mainly as a substitute, although he didn’t play against United in the final, and scored three goals in ten league appearances. He has featured three times for England Under 17s, where he played alongside JJ Gabriel, who is soon to depart Old Trafford.
