WAYNE BARTON ON MONDAY: Is the balance all wrong at Manchester United?

In the final minutes of the draw against Tottenham last week, Bruno Fernandes hoofed the ball high towards the North Stand instead of picking a pass in the attack. It seemed absurd and provoked a large groan from all at Old Trafford. It's left WAYNE BARTON wondering if the balance is all wrong at United.

In the final minutes of the draw against Tottenham last week, Bruno Fernandes hoofed the ball high towards the North Stand instead of picking a pass in the attack. It seemed absurd and provoked a large groan from all at Old Trafford. In injury time at Leeds, the Portuguese threw his arms in the air to remonstrate with Bryan Mbeumo after a miscommunication between the two that was hardly the latter’s fault.

Fernandes has been the best player at Manchester United for five years now. Last year he broke the record for Premier League assists. But he has struggled for form this season and it raises the question - are United relying too much on individual play?
