Bruno Fernandes - Back in the team, but not off the naughty list

Language is a funny thing. Sometimes you can learn as much, if not more, from what is left unsaid compared to what is put on record.

It certainly feels as though that much is true for Manchester United after a bizarre fortnight which saw players make public statements that one (sort of) apologised for and the other did not, followed by radio silence from the club’s directors after a torrent of abuse was directed their way during last weekend’s humiliation at home to Bournemouth, and finally, Michael Carrick being forced to deal with all of that fallout in front of the press yet again when at the start of the week it seemed to those reporters that they would be asking questions to a different head coach before the game against Chelsea.
