Carrick to remain in charge for Chelsea match
27.10.26, 12:25 2 Minute Read
Michael Carrick will remain in position as Manchester United head coach for the club’s trip to Chelsea, The1878 understands.
While the football world waited for news that he had been relieved of his duties following successive defeats by three-goal margins, United have informed the former midfielder that he will take charge for the visit to the capital at the weekend, and may even stay until the international break.
Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox were locked in talks at Carrington yesterday while the first team - including Carrick - had a scheduled day off, though Carrick did attend United’s training complex to watch a behind closed doors friendly.
